ALASTAIR CARR

We funded Alastair for a few months in 2009 and after a very successful season he re-applied for funding for 2010.

Team Location: Lanester, in the Morbihan (56) department of Brittany, on the south coast of the peninisula

Team Info: The club is made up of several parts ranging from the youngsters to the strongest section which I will be part of, their Divisional Nationale 1 Espoir team. In it will be some very strong riders of what is an exciting team. These include Warren Barguil (2009 French Junior Road Race Champion), Gwenolé Michel (2009 Morbihan department champion) and Yann Rault (Ex-Proffesional with Bretagne-Schuller). There are 13 of us all together and we have an exciting calendar lined up including some big stage races around different parts of France. www.aclanester56.com

2010 Aspirations: 'After getting so close several times in 2009, my main aspiration is to win my first race on French soil and specifically an Elite Nationale race which tend to have the stronger fields with longer distances and are more respected. I'd like to do well in a stage race somewhere along the line and also in the Grand Prix of Plouay classic towards the end of August.'

Sam is a young and talented rider and this is his first season racing abroad.
